Making Paperweights

Mrs Z (the story lady) was here this morning and had 45 minutes of stories, songs, and activities with the children. They always enjoy her visits! After she left I had a project for them to do.

We made paperweights this morning. It involved pouring... stirring...pouring some more...counting...inspecting...and pouring some more. Then they were finished.and we went outside.

Working hard at this again this morning.Look at that grin! This is the first time she's accomplished getting onto the second step. It's become a morning tradition to run to the fence and say "hi" to the mailman when he gets to our box. He usually talks to them a few seconds before moving on.He sees the older children get one of the lower branches on the tree and pull it down. He's been trying so hard to reach it but he's just not quite tall enough yet! This afternoon we talked about writing from left to right and practiced making lines from left to right. We talked about rhyming words and we also practiced writing "Bb",practiced the "B" sound and found and colored pictures of things that begin with the letter B.

Breakfast- Scrambled Eggs, Toast, Orange Juice, Milk

Lunch- Chicken, Fried Potatoes w/Gravy, Corn, Butter Bread, Milk

Snack- Vanilla Cream Cookies, Milk
