Making a seashore collage and they are doing a very good job of it!

She likes the little tiny sharpened crayons.

This is technical work. You have to get real close to do it right.

Pouring colored rice on glue to make the letter Oo.(I think she missed)

Todays artwork.

Blowing bubbles with some great friends who are gone for the summer and came for a visit today.

Helping the little ones blow bubbles. (Don't eat the bubble wand!)

Today was a special day for everyone. A family who is out for the summer came by this morning for a visit. We enjoyed seeing them again. (Thanks Karen for helping out this morning with craft clean-up and other things!)
For storytime we read a section in "The Outdoors Book" about seasons and talked about the season now being summer. We also read "Sand Castle". We sang, "This is the Day", "Waves At The Beach", "Lets Go to the Beach", and "Count Our Numbers".
We made a seashore collage this morning and counted shells while we were making it. We put glue glue on paper in the shape of the letter Oo (for ocean) then poured colored rice on the glue. We also colored a beach scenery picture.
Outside we played with turtles, blew bubbles and played ball.
