A good, busy, hyperactive day. I think all the two year olds started out on high alert, over-sensitive mode this morning. But the good thing is they got over it about half-way thru the morning.
The 4-5 year olds were happy to have finished their "Matching What Goes Together" books and were looking foward to taking the books home. They also practiced writing their names.
Outside for storytime we read "The Enormous Turnip", "Oops-a-Daisy", and "Buzzle Billy" (a book about sharing). We sang "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes", "Jesus, Jesus I Love You"(with ASL) and "If Your Wearing ________" (fill in the blank with a color and if they have that color on their clothes follow the instructions). Then we went through musical instrument, colors, weather, direction(up, down, left, right) and shape flashcards.
Playing outside was a great time for us all!
